Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Economic development in the West Bank

Olive farming is both economically and culturally important in the West Bank. Made from fresh, handpicked olives grown and harvested using traditional farming methods, the oil is cold pressed and bottled in Palestine ensuring more local jobs are created. Al-Muqadasa Fair Trade Producers’ Company is part of the Palestinian Fair Trade Association (PFTA) which represents over 30 cooperatives from the Jenin, Salfit and Ramallah areas. With a membership totaling 777+ farmers, there are over 4300 hectares of olive orchards consisting of small terraced fields with old trees of local varieties. Each farmer supports a large extended family so this Fairtrade oil helps to alleviate poverty in a much larger surrounding area.

Roasting Block Goes Here

At our solar-powered roastery in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, our worker-owner team batch roasts and conducts production cuppings daily to bring out the best characteristics in each harvest. With four primary roast levels, we think there’s a favorite here for everyone. Obviously this needs to be updated for UK roasting.

Medium Roast: expect the unique citrus, nutty, fruity, or floral notes of each coffee to shine through.

Full City Roast: you’ll get a bit more of the caramel flavor that comes from the roasting process.

Vienna Roast: starts to bring the smoky aroma and smooth and rich body of a darker roast.

French Roast: with the natural oils fully expressed, it’s an intensely dark and smoky experience akin to dark chocolate.
